Outlook Settings
I somehow changed some settings and can't get them to go back.
1). new mail shows up as read (not bold) and I need to correct that
2). when I attach a file, it now appears in the text of the email...

Message Deletion
If you are having trouble deleting messages from Windows mail go to Windows
download site, download and install patch W6.0-KB941090. This fixed my
problem.
