In case you are interested:
Outlook
Select Tools, then Options from the main menu.

Click on the Internet E-mail tab.

Uncheck the option labeled Check my local network connections for new mail...

I just don't want it to receive mail directly. I am using Mailwasher and the
mail goes in there first, then what is spam is kicked out so I can get those
"friends" who write to me.

Where are those options is I guess what I should have asked. I know I need to
turn them off and in OE I know where to do it but in Outlook, I do not know

I need to turn the automatic feature of Outlook receiving emails off.

I have another program that receives my emails for spam reasons and filters
