See Brian Tillman's post below. It was PGP Desktop. Disabling the service
(PGPServ) solved the crash with PST files. Thanks for your help Russ.

Hey Brian... I meant to reply yesterday, but I forgot. Thanks for those PGP
links. They led to the solution. I disabled the PGPServ service, and sure
enough, I can use my Personal Folders without...

Hi Russ... even a new PST, e.g., File New Outlook Data File, causes the
crash.
