Outlook 2003 sending but not receiving messages

No error messages or numbers. Nothing happens; just no messages received.
Indications are 'sending messages accomplished' while the comment receiving
messages never shows a response 'accomplished...

Outlook 2003 sending but not receiving messages

Outlook 2003: I can send but cannot receive messages. This Outlook version
was included as a trial in purchase of new computer. I can use other email
types and they work
