Question: is there a way to change your HTML code such that it would display
today and the taskpad, as opposed to the month?

Except for all the people in countries in the Middle East, (such as Kuwait)
where the weekend falls on Thursday & Friday.

Sadly, not possible on the month view.

They show on the week view when there's "enough" screen real estate (eg,
when you maximize the window on a large screen monitor), otherwise Outlook
discards...
