Mail Rules Being Ignored

Some rules work fine and some are getting ignored. In fact, some rules that I have deleted are still working while new ones don't get recognized. What's a feller to do?

OE6, etc. and it solved the problem.

delete postings in any newsgroups. The delete key has no effect at all --
but works with email and all other...
