I've got a workaround of sorts.

Select the contact, right-click & select Create New Message to Contact.

This will create an entry in "
....AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\profile.NK2" so that...

This issue was described by vicmike 7/24/08 & I now have the same issue.
My Outlook Address Book (OAB) does not recognize the contacts information...
