Almost every time I close OE6 it asks if I would like to compact messages.
Sometimes I do this, but I don't need asking every time. Is there some way
to stop this message? It only seems to happen...

Still doesn't work with a newly created rule. Most odd - other 'reply' type
rules work fine.

Yes it works fine with the manual reply. I didn't think to try that! I've
now removed the rule and created a new one -- I'll see if that fixes it.
